DESCRIPTION

 

Clear tempered solar glass is a type of glass that is specifically designed for use in thermal collectors and PV modules. It is made by heating ordinary glass to a high temperature and then rapidly cooling it, a process known as tempering. This makes the glass much stronger and more durable than regular glass, and it also makes it more resistant to thermal shock.

 

In a thermal collector, the tempered solar glass is used to cover the absorber plate, which absorbs the sun's energy and converts it into heat. The glass allows the sunlight to pass through and reach the absorber plate, while also trapping the heat inside the collector.
