Introduction:

Fused cast AZS refractory brick are fused cast refractory products mainly composed of zirconium and corundum, AZS represents Al2O3 (40%~50%), ZrO2 (30%~50%) and SiO2 (10%~17%) respectively. According to the zirconium content, Fused Cast AZS series products are divided into three types: AZS33, AZS36 and AZS41.


Melting Technology:

Fused cast AZS refractory brick is mainly made of high quality Australian zircon sand and the purity alumina powder in special electric arc furnace by high temperature melting and oxidation treatment process. The crystallographic structure composed of eutectoid of baddeleyite corundum and glass phase. It is the eutectoid of corundum and zbaddeleyite, and the glass phase is filled between their crystals.


Character:

This fused casting process almost eliminates carbon pollution from the graphite electrode.The fused zirconium corundum brick made by this process has a dense structure, a special and high erosion resistance to the liquid glass, almost no pollution to liquid glass. It is an excellent choice for the high-temperaturep position of the glass kiln.

Casting Technology:

Since the fused cast AZS refractory brick is made by completely melting the raw materials, pouring them into the casting mold, and then cooling and annealing in the mould. Therefore, shrinkage cavity caused by volume shrinkage during solidification is a problem that needs special attention when using. Different casting methods should be selected according to the requirements of different parts of the kiln. the casting technology, characteristics and usage are as follows:


Normal castPT)


Some shrinkages voids will be formed under the casting scar during annealing process of fused cast AZS brick. These bricks are usually installed in the area with no serious corrosion and no influence to the performance and life of the kiln.

Tilting castQX


This special casting method enables the shrinkage cavity to be concentrated in one end of the brick, while forming a compact part in the other end for its maximum value.

Ending cast ZWS


It is similar to void free cast, this casting method reserves only a few shrinkage cavity under the casting scar, which has a very compact structure. So it is widely used for sidewall brick of glass melting end.

Void free cast WS


The shrinkage cavity is concentrated in the large header when casting, and the large header will be removed after cooling, and then the dense brick with no shrinkage cavity is obtained, which is mainly used for the position with serious erosion, as throat, kiln weir, sidewall corner and paving,etc, It is suggested that this casting method be used for producing AZS41 and Fused cast alumina brick.

Fused Cast AZS refractory brick are widely used in the fields such as flat glass, electronic glass(CRT), Optical glass ,fiber glass, glassware, solar PV glass, ceramics glaze, etc. mainly used for the glass furnace.
